At SheppleTech, we were founded with a mission to reduce electronic waste and close the digital divide. With a background in disaster response and community support, our founder saw a need to securely repurpose technology that would otherwise end up in a landfill. We responsibly recycle, refurbish, and redistribute used desktops and laptops - reselling some to sustain operations and donating some to individuals in urgent need, especially after disasters. Our focus is impact, not just inventory.
We accept used desktops and laptops from businesses, schools, and individuals. Whether it’s equipment being retired or tech that no longer works, we evaluate each device to determine whether it can be securely refurbished or properly recycled. Pick-up options are available for bulk donations, and donors receive documentation of their contribution.
Every device undergoes complete data sanitization using industry-standard wiping tools. If requested, we provide a certificate of data destruction for compliance purposes. We ensure no device is reused or repurposed until it’s been securely wiped and verified.
Refurbished devices are either listed for resale to support operations or donated to individuals and families in need, especially those recovering from disaster. Donations are awarded through an application-based review process to ensure they reach those most in need.
When a device cannot be refurbished, we break it down for parts and materials and send it to certified e-waste recycling partners. This ensures all equipment is disposed of responsibly and nothing reusable ends up in a landfill. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do.
Please reach us at contact@sheppletech.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
